Under the Sea at The Lookout Discovery Centre, Bracknell

Enter the magical world of the ocean as we take a journey through the wonders of the deep. Discover the creatures that live there and help protect them through different challenges. Can you help us save our seas? Shows run at the weekends and during the February Half Term school holiday at 11.00am, midday, 2.00pm and 3.15pm. The show costs £1.95 per person on top of your admission fee to The Lookout. Shows are suitable for primary school aged children and don’t need to be booked in advance, just buy your tickets from reception when you arrive.

Nick Cope Family Music at Corn Exchange Newbury

Join Nick Cope for his ever-popular interactive music sessions with songs about everything from counting to how plants grow. Nick’s sessions are very popular so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment. The show runs on Saturday 10.30 – 11.30am and is suitable for ages 8 years and under. Crowns and Coronations, Windsor Castle

Add some warmth and sparkle to the month of January by attending the workshop at Windsor Castle related to The Queen’s Coronation. Make a crown inspired by the Crown Jewells or one of the other spectacular crowns in the Royal Collection from around the world. Runs 11.00am – 3.00pm. Weekend Fun at the Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham

Saturday 19 January – Bring the kiddies along for the Nature Explorers Club which runs on the 3rd Saturday every month. This is a fantastic hands on wildlife club for 5 – 8 year olds where children will be getting muddy and cooking snacks on a fire. Each month follows a different theme with hands on wildlife activities, crafts, stories and child-led play. The session runs from 10.00am – midday and is £5.00 per child. Sunday 20 January – This weekend is Sunday storytime by the lake! Join a leader from the community wildlife team for a fun story telling session with the Nature Discovery Centre lake as the backdrop. First make a prop for the story – a mask, a puppet or maybe a broomstick – and then settle down to listen to the story. Each session lasts an hour and they run from 11.00am – 3.00pm. Sunday Stories at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead

This Sunday is interactive storytelling in the magical story den at Norden Farm. Join in or unwind in the café bar with a coffee and the Sunday papers, while your little ones get involved in telling stories from all over the world. Suitable for children 4 – 7 years. Dinosaurs in Newbury! Pop Up Play Village

This popular dinosaur themed play session is popping up in Newbury on Saturday! There will be a dinosaur hunt, a dinosaur toy shop and a free dinosaur craft activity included in the price. You can also expect role play fun featuring a construction site, vets surgery, café and baby nursery. The play session is suitable for children aged 0 – 8 years. Remember to bring your socks and your sense of adventure! The session runs from 10.00 – 11.15am at Sutton Hall in Newbury. Tickets are £6.50 per child (£5.00 for siblings).
