Sprouts Play Barn at Millets Review
Sprouts Play Barn at Millets Farm near Abingdon were awarded ‘Best Soft Play’ in the Oxfordshire 2018 Little Ankle Biters’ Awards, so we went along to find out more.
Millets Farm in its entirety is a fantastic place to visit and you can easily spend the whole day there with attractions like the Maze, the falconry, farm animals, play area and carousel. Sprouts Play Barn opened last year as a new addition to the farm and is hugely popular with families in Berkshire and Oxfordshire being so close to the county border.
On arrival we were greeted by the friendly team at reception who directed us through to the soft play barn. One thing that struck me was how clean it was, there are a number of sessions throughout the day and they clean it from top to bottom in between each one which I know would give a lot of parents peace of mind.
It was quite busy but we managed to find a table outside where my children quickly removed their shoes and headed towards Mr Sprout’s amazing 4-tier play frame! There is a large under 5’s section plus an even larger over 5’s area with lots of climbing and slides to have fun on.
There’s a piano on the floor where children can play a tune, a sports area and a role play area where children can be a postman or farmer. There’s also an outside area with a play house and toys.
The one defining feature that sets Sprouts Play Barn apart from other Soft Plays I have been to is the food served in Mr & Mrs Sprouts Rose Cottage Cafe, not only was it delicious but there is so much choice and all freshly prepared on site.
My children absolutely loved it at Sprouts Play Barn and I can definitely see why they won “Best Soft Play” in the Little Ankle Biters’ Awards for 2018.
