Give your child a head-start with Caterpillar Music’s weekly music sessions which use exciting themes, colourful instruments and baby safe products to encourage creative learning.
Music sessions provide many benefits for children’s development, not least:
- Enhanced learning
- Helping babies and parents to communicate through shared activity
- Development of social skills, confidence and learning to make friends
- Fostering dexterity through use of musical instruments
- Language development and increased vocabulary
Each week will be centred around a different theme. Will we be zooming into space? Diving under the sea? Going to the circus? Or down on the ranch? We follow a clear structure so that your child will easily recognise the routine and become familiar and confident in the session. Each session includes puppets, instruments and bubbles as well as parachutes, light shows, scarves, ribbons, pom poms, sensory equipment and our own personal ‘wow’ sensory play sheets. Each week your child will have their own puppet to play with and join in with too.
We pride ourselves on having a lovely relaxed atmosphere at our classes and we encourage your child to join in as much or as little as they wish. It can also be a wonderful opportunity for you to bond with your child through music and play.
We aim to be welcoming, relaxed, fun and a bit silly. We don’t force anyone to join in or tell them they are doing it wrong. We are facilitators of fun!!
Babies love music and are never too young to enjoy our classes which is why they’re suitable from newborn to 4 years. We have baby only classes for a more peaceful environment, and mixed age classes which are great for siblings. Another added benefit of our classes is siblings are free!
Caterpillar Music classes run in Kingsclere, Thatcham, and Eddie Katz Soft Play in Newbury in Berkshire. Classes running in Eddie Catz will also receive unlimited soft play after your class included in the price.
