Mapledurham Food Festival

5 – 7 May 2018, 10.00am – 5.00pm

This May Bank Holiday bring the entire family to Mapledurham Food Festival near Reading. There’s a jam-packed agenda over the weekend, including; top chefs, free hands on master classes, tasting sessions, live music and health and wellbeing. For the kiddies there’s children’s cookery, a 4×4 driving course & games, a treasure hunt, stories, a food lab, rides & slides, and arts & crafts.

Adult tickets are from £5.50, children from £1.00. Open 10.00am – 5.00pm daily, free car parking available on site. Address: Mapledurham House, Nr Reading, RG4 7TR. There’s also an option to travel by boat from Caversham.

The Big Inflatable Takeover at Wellington Country Park

5 – 7 May 2018

Bring the kiddies down to Wellington Country Park this Bank Holiday for The Big Inflatable Takeover and watch them bounce the weekend away. It’s an inflatable takeover with a bouncy castle, ball pond, big castle, mini obstacle course, big obstacle course, and a bungee run. Plus you can expect all the usual fun of Wellington Country Park; beautiful walks, nature trails, play areas, the animal farm and petting area, water play, a miniature train, and much more.

Dear Zoo at Corn Exchange, Newbury

5 – 6 May 2018

Dear Zoo was one of the first treasured books we picked for the nursery shelf when we found out we were first expecting, it’s beautifully simple story packed with big nostalgic emotions and we were delighted to see it was coming to the Corn Exchange in Newbury this weekend. This timeless children’s favourite will delight audiences as it unfolds with engaging puppets, catchy music and lots of audience interaction.

Tickets are still available for Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May, with show times at 1.00pm and 3.30pm. Duration 55 minutes with no interval. Suitable for ages 2 years +. Tickets are £15.00, and a family ticket is £54.00.

Lego Star Wars Days at Legoland Windsor Resort

5 – 7 May 2018

From Saturday 5 – Monday 7 May 2018, Lego Star Wars Days are coming to Legoland Windsor. Be one with The Force and bring the kiddies down to the Lego Star Wars Zone located in the Imagination Centre for a galaxy of Lego filled activities, including:

  • Lego Star Wars Speed Build – How fast can you build a Lego Microfighter? Challenge your fellow Padawans to see who’s the fastest!
  • Lego Star Wars Mosaic – Your help is needed in building a giant Lego mosaic out of 70,000 Lego bricks
  • Character meet and greets – Meet your favourite Lego Star Wars characters including Lego Darth Vader and a Lego Storm Trooper
  • Costume competition – Come dressed in your best Lego Star Wars costume!
  • Character hunt – Can you spot all the Lego Jedi Minifigures hidden around the resort?
  • Miniland Wookie Scavenger Hunt – Find the hidden Wookie in Miniland for a chance to win a Lego Millenium Falcon set

Raver Tots at Vanilla Windsor

Sunday 6 May 2018, 2.30 – 4.30pm

Raver Tots is returning to Vanilla Windsor on Sunday 6 May 2018 for an afternoon where kids and grown ups alike can hit the dance floor and let off some steam! These are always really fun family events with some of the UKs top DJs, clubs classics guaranteed to fill the dance floor, UV face paints, bubbles and balloons, confetti and giant parachutes.

Tilehurst Festival 2018, Prospect Park

Sunday 6 May 2018, midday – 11.00pm

Come down to Prospect Park in Reading this Sunday 6 May for the Tilehurst Festival 2018. Festivities will kick off at midday and carriages are at 11.00pm. This year the festival is even bigger and better. Bring the family down for a fun family day out with live music, food and drink, a fun fair, and many more attractions. Beale Park Model Boat Show

5 & 6 May 2018

This year’s Beale Park model boat show is organised between Kent Model Boat Display Team and the local Mid Thames Model Boat Club. There are thirteen clubs attending displaying craft of all sizes and vintages from sailing boats to state of the art merchant ships, warships and hovercraft. On both Saturday and Sunday models can be seen on the water, with organised periods for the hovercraft to display their abilities, tugs towing a ship around a marked channel and electric boat racing. On Sunday the Portsmouth Warship Association will provide a display on the water of warships in action, firing their guns from 1.00 – 2.00pm with smoke and the sounds of gun fire.

Family Fun Day, Ockwells Park, Maidenhead

Sunday 6 May 2018, midday – 4.00pm

Bring the kiddies down to Ockwells Parks in Cox Green, Maidenhead, this Sunday for an afternoon of entertainment, fun and games. There will be food and drink, stalls, live music and dancing and loads of activities to keep the little ones (and not so little ones) happy like go karts, bouncy castles and small fair rides. We’re also excited to announce that there will be a local farm attending with Shetland ponies, goats, lambs, chickens, ducks and more.

The Wild Tweed Show 2018, West Wycombe Estate, Bucks

6 & 7 May 2018

Wild Tweed is the definitive country show and is set in the beautiful Chiltern countryside, on Sunday 6 and Monday 7 May 2018. There will be fun for all the family with live music and entertainment, artisan food stalls, boutique shopping, celebrity interviews on the Wild Tweed sofa, children’s shows and special guests. As well as all this you can also expect; a competitive clay shoot competition, garden games, a children’s photography competition, and not forgetting the champagne bar!

The show takes place at E.J Churchill, West Wycombe Estate in Bucks. It’s open Sunday 10.30am – 8.00pm and Monday 10.30am – 6.00pm. Strictly entry with tickets only and must be purchased in advance.
