Jump In! Family Arts Festival at Norden Farm this Easter, Maidenhead

30 March – 14 April 2018

Kicking us off with a packed Easter holiday agenda is the fantastic Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead. And you’re really going to be spoilt for choice with films, workshops, craft and storytelling. Here’s our top picks.

  • Little Ankle Biters highlight – Give it a Go, Friday 30 March 2018. This is a day of over 40 workshops for children and their families to have a go and experience new things. All are £4.00 per person, and include things like circus skills, drama, yoga, chocolate making, magic and Ukulele workshops. Fun! For more info and to book, click here.
  • Norden Farm will be showing a range of fantastic kids films over the Easter holidays. Tickets are £5.00 for children and £7.00 for over 16’s. Click on the film to check dates, times and to book your tickets: Disney’s Coco, Early Man, Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle, Tad the Lost Explorer and Paddington 2.
  • Easter arts & crafts sessions. Bring the kiddies to Norden Farm from 2 – 14 April at 10.30am for daily craft activities. The crafts vary so you can create something new each day. £5.00 per child and suitable for ages 5 + years. For more info and to book your places, click here.
  • Morgan & West More Magic for Kids – The time travelling magicians bring a marvellous magic show full of crazy capers for the young, old and everyone in-between! Monday 2 April, 11.30am and 2.00pm. Tickets are £8.00 for children, £10 for adults. Suitable for 5 years +. To book your tickets, click here.

Easter Fun Day, Grenfell Park Maidenhead

Saturday 31 March 2018, 11.00am – 3.00pm

On Saturday 31 March 2018 there will be a family Easter Fun Day in Grenfell Park from 11.00am – 3.00pm. This will be a FREE event aimed at families (great for children 0 – 12 years). During the event there will be an Easter Egg Hunt, face painting, bunny mask decorating, and many other children’s activities. There will be refreshments available, including hot food, ice cream and freshly made tea and coffee. As well as all this you can expect things like; a bouncy castle, fairground rides, football skills fun, a Sima’s Action Kids session, and more.

Visiting Farm Animals at Cobbs Farm Shop, Hungerford

Monday 2 April 2018, 11.00am – 3.00pm

They’re back for a special Easter Monday visit! Our friends from Farms 2 Ewe are visiting Cobbs on Easter Monday. Come along with the kiddies to meet some very cute and furry animals.

Meeting the animals is totally free of charge. While you’re there why not check out the great childrens play barn or grab a bite to eat in the café.

Easter at Bucklebury Farm

30 March – 16 April 2018

There will be plenty of fun on the farm this Easter at Bucklebury. Throughout the Easter holidays they will be running the Great Easter Egg Hunt, where little ones can go off in search of the giant Easter Eggs. You can also get involved in lamb feeding, where kiddies can get hands-on and help feed the orphan lambs at Bucklebury Farm.

30 March – 15 April 2018

The Big Top is coming to Welly Park this Easter, and there’s an absolutely jam packed agenda crammed with family fun over the school holidays. Here’s a taster of what you can expect.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt at Basildon Park, Reading

30 March – 16 April 2018

Come along and pick up an Easter Trail from the visitor reception (in the stables near the car park) at Basildon Park, Reading. Children will love following the trail and having a go at solving the clues, before collecting a chocolatey treat at the end! You’ll also learn lots about the animals at Basildon Park and the habitats they live in.

The trail costs £3.00 per child and runs from 10.00am – 5.00pm.

Breakfast or Tea with the Easter Bunny – Wyevale Garden Centre

19 March – 15 April 2018

Hop along to your local Wyevale Garden Centre and meet the Easter Bunny! Tuck in to a delicious meal, and enjoy a bunny hunt and chocolate treats. Children will receive a cuddly toy and an activity sheet, afterwards they’ll get to decorate their own Easter cookie. Costs £10.95 per child and is suitable for children 3 – 8 years.

Arts & Crafts Ideas for the Easter Holidays – Baker Ross

Because we can’t be out everyday of the holidays, Baker Ross is an absolute life saver when it comes to ordering arts and crafts activities and goodies for the house. Bunny Mask Making, Nicolson Centre, Maidenhead

Saturday 24 March 2018, 11.00am – 3.00pm

Bring the kiddies down to the Nicolson Shopping Centre in Maidenhead on Saturday 24 March, from 11.00am – 3.00pm. Take part in free craft sessions to make and decorate your own bunny masks, which can then be taken down to the Easter Fun Day at Grenfell Park on Saturday 31 March 2018.

Easter at The Herd, Pangbourne

Easter is all about family, food and chocolate! Bring the kids down to The Herd in Pangbourne on Easter Sunday for an egg hunt, an egg painting competition, and they’ll even be able to meet the good old Easter Bunny.

Easter Family Fun Day at Bracknell Ski Centre

Monday 2 April 2018, 10.00am – 5.00pm

Come down to Bracknell Ski and Snowboard Centre this Easter Monday for a family fun day! Activities will include sno-tubing, taster ski and snowboard lessons, taster ice-skating lessons and public session ice-skating. Must be booked and paid in advance. £9.50 per person, under 5’s go free with a paying adult.

Windsor Castle

Dates between 4 – 13 April 2018

Bring the family to Windsor Castle over the Easter holidays for Fabulous Fashions! Follow an Easter activity trail and take part in the art workshop inspired by royal fashion throughout history. This will run on 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 April 2018, 11.00am – 4.00pm. Activities are free with standard entry to the Castle. Remember, if you have a RBWM Advantage Card, admission to the Castle is free too.

Easter at Beale Park, Pangbourne

28 March – 16 April 2018

Easter Trail – 28 March to 16 April, 10.00am – 4.00pm – Bring the children down to have a go at the special Easter Trail at the park over the holidays. For just 50p per child, follow the trail and find 10 answers dotted around the park. Once you’ve finished, hand your answers in to the Gift Shop for your chance to win some fantastic prizes. You may even get a chocolate treat at the end of the trail!

Meet the Bugs this Easter – 28 March, 4 April & 11 April –  Animal keepers are giving visitors the chance to get up close and personal with some of the residents that live at the park. So if your little ones would like to experience the world of giant insects, meet a snake, touch a giant African snail, or get close to a tarantula, then pop along to the Education Building from 1.30 – 3.30pm.

Build a Mini Bug Hotel Workshop – 28 March, 4 April & 11 April, 10.30am to 12.30pm – With more than 10 million insects in the world, all of which need somewhere to live, come down and join in at the park helping bugs to be snug by building them a mini bug hotel, giving them somewhere to eat, sleep and be safe. If you want to help bugs in your own back garden, staff will be on hand to help wannabe bug hotel builders make their very own bug hotel to take home. At a cost of £5.00 per hotel it’s a great way to help eco-systems and habitats in your own back yard.

Easter at Cliveden National Trust

30 March – 15 April 2018

Bring the little ones to Cliveden National Trust this Easter for a Spring themed trail around the estate, and a chocolate treat at the end! There’s no need to book, just turn up and enjoy all that Cliveden has to offer. As well as the trail there’s a children’s play area, a maze and café & restaurant if you want to grab a bite to eat too.

The trail will run daily from 30 March – 15 April 2018, 10.00am – 3.30pm. It’s £3.00 per child and you can get your trail sheet from the information centre by the main car park.

Easter Fun at Oakley Court Hotel, Windsor

Free Easter Egg Hunt – 30 March – 16 April 2018

Keeps the kiddies entertained this Easter break with a egg hunt at Oakley Court Hotel. The Easter bunny has hidden clues across the hotel and the grounds and your little ones need to help to solve the puzzle. Pick up your clue sheet from Reception, and off you go! Easter Sunday Family Roast Dinner – Sunday 1 April 2018

If you fancy treating yourselves this Easter to a slap up family meal, without any of the stress and burnt potatoes, then why not look at booking a table at Oakley Court Hotel. On Sunday 1 April they will host a special Easter Sunday Family Roast, 3 courses of yumminess with a special child sized portions for the little ones. Eating out with Children – Family Friendly Restaurants in Berkshire

Fancy getting a bite to eat while you’re out and about over the holidays? All these activities should help you build up an appetite. Yucky You Show at The Lookout, Bracknell

In this disgustingly entertaining live science show you can find out all sorts of things like:

  • why mucus is snot a bad thing
  • what happens to the food we eat
  • how long your hair can grow

Shows run at the weekends and in Bracknell school holidays. Shows cost £1.95 per person, on top of your entry fee to the Lookout. You don’t need to pre-book tickets to the shows, just buy them from reception on the day. Show times are everyday at; 11.00am, midday, 2.00pm, 3:15pm.

Suitable for Primary school age children. A good guide is whether a child can sit still for around 40 minutes, however presenters are very good at tailoring the content to the show audience. Please note, all shows need at least 10 people to run.

Easter Weekend at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire

30 March – 2 April 2018

Enjoy an Easter weekend of eggsploration and family entertainment at Blenheim Palace. Follow an over-sized Easter Egg Hunt throughout the ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland and Pleasure Gardens with some 8ft giant decorated eggs to find. Explore the grounds to discover the special ‘Blenheim Egg’, note it’s location on your map and enter a competition to win an Easter surprise.

The Pleasure Gardens will transform into an Easter Wonderland with lots of interactive experiences, family-friendly activities and shows to enjoy. Find a traditional Victorian Fairground with vintage rides for the whole family. There will also be a feast of family-friendly food with a range of fresh hot and cold snacks, handmade pizzas, soups, salads, ice cream and a range of healthy options for children too.

Easter Egg Hunt at Hughenden Manor, Bucks

Go on a hunt for giant eggs around the garden at Hughenden this Easter with the kiddies. Finish the hunt and you’ll get a chocolate treat at the end! There are 2 versions of the hunt, one for small children and one for larger explorers.

The hunt costs £3.00 per child and runs from 30 March – 2 April, 10.00am – 4.00pm. It’s suitable for children from 2 – 12 years and booking isn’t needed, you can just turn up and pay on the day.

Head down to Waddesdon Manor this Easter to take part in a fun Easter egg hunt around the grounds. The rare and exotic birds of Waddesdon’s Aviary need your help, help bunny find the eggs before it’s too late!

Savill Garden, Windsor Great Park

1 – 15 April 2018

Bring the children to Savill Garden this Easter for The Windsor Great Park Spring Trail. Have family fun as you explore the gardens and learn about the history and natural surroundings of The Great Park. Follow the trail, unscramble the Easter message, before returning to the Savill Building to collect your prize. The trail runs from 10.00am – 5.00pm and trail sheets cost £3.50 each (collect and pay at the main reception in the Savill Building.

A Big Day out with Peter Rabbit, Kew Gardens

30 March – 15 April 2018

Come to a fun-filled Peter Rabbit themed Easter at Kew Gardens with entertainment for the while family from 30 March to 15 April. Join in this Easter to take part in an exciting adventure featuring Peter Rabbit and his friends. Take part in games and find out about the vegetables that Peter found in Mr McGregor’s garden. Follow a trail based on Peter Rabbit and other Beatrix Potter characters.

Discover Beatrix Potter’s links with Kew, her struggles to get recognised in the scientific community and how this led her to create her world-famous characters.
