Based on an original idea from Stockholm, The Windsor & Eton Living Advent Calendar is a collaborative project run with the Windsor & Eton Town Partnership and 24 local businesses to provide live family friendly entertainment every evening from 1 to 24 December 2017.
Like a children’s advent calendar, a different window or door is opened every evening at 6:15pm and a 15-minute performance is given to the audience assembled outside each participating business.
Performances will range from songs, carols, music, poetry, book excerpts, creative arts, notes from local history or folklore, sketches and dance, all with a Christmas theme.
Each participating business will have their own event to run and in true advent calendar style the details of the actual performance will be kept secret and revealed on the day.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Christmas involving all the community and providing a great opportunity for local groups to engage with businesses in a different way.
