This year Norden Farm’s much-loved lantern making sessions and annual lantern parade will return to Maidenhead. In these sessions families will be shown how to make beautiful lanterns from willow which you will weave and decorate, inspired by the animal world. Once the lanterns have been finished you can then take them along to the Carnival of the Animals Lantern Parade on Saturday 9 December 2017, where they will be illuminated in a beautiful and magical experience for all the family. There will be live music and entertainment on the night of the parade also.
Workshops cost £4.00 per person and take place on the following dates:
Sunday 19 & 26 November, Sunday 3 December – Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Altwood Road, Maidenhead
11.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Saturday 18 & 25 November, Saturday 2 December – Maidenhead Town Centre
10.00am – 4.00pm (drop in)
Last chance workshop
Saturday 9 December – Maidenhead Town Centre
11.00am – 2.00pm
The Carnival of the Animals Lantern Parade will take place on Saturday 9 December, starting outside the Town Hall. This is a free event which people are welcome to come and join in, with or without a lantern. The live music and entertainment will start at 4.30pm, with the parade departing from the town hall at 5.00pm.
