Grade II listed Stubbings Estate House was built in 1750 and the Estate is now home to Stubbings Nursery and Café. The Café is open 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 9.30am – 4.00pm Sunday. Stubbings Café has an excellent reputation for breakfast and lunch and they serve a great Afternoon Tea. There’s a wide range of hot and cold drinks as well as cakes and snacks. This can all be enjoyed in the Glasshouse looking over the 18th Century walled gardens. There’s also a covered outside decking area and patio space for enjoying a fine day.
For children there’s a small play area which they can enjoy while you treat yourself and chill out. They have a limited children’s lunch menu including beans on toast, sandwiches or a salad. Or why not spoil them with a scone or freshly made milkshake.
