If Sonning’s good enough for Mr Clooney, then it’s good enough for us. And while we can’t promise you’ll be cosied up next to Amal and the twins, the Storytime sessions at the Mill at Sonning are a lovely way to spend a morning.
Every Wednesday at 10:15am, pre-school children will be treated to stories and singing in the beautiful Sonning theatre. After the story you can witness the magic of the waterwheel being turned on, and then enjoy some colouring in the bar area with a healthy fruit snack and squash for the little ones (which is included in the entry price). Hot drinks and yummy homemade cakes are also on sale for parents and grandparents.
These sessions can get very busy so you’ll need to book in advance (you can’t book more than a week ahead, so in my experience it’s best to book on a Wednesday for the next week). You can book by calling 0118 969 8000. Entry is great value at £3.50 per child (which is payable on the door).
