Beale Park in Pangbourne has been a firm favourite since I was a child and it’s definitely worth a visit on a warm, dry day. Beale Park is an outdoor wildlife park set within 30 acres of beautiful grounds. There are gardens and a deer park, as well as over 20 species of animals including alpacas, meerkats, monkeys and lemurs.
There’s a great adventure playground, sand pit and a Little Tikes outdoor village which the little ones will love. On a warm sunny day don’t forget swimming costumes and towels as there’s a large paddling pool for cooling down and splashing around. However, if rain does make an appearance there’s also a Little Tikes under 5’s indoor soft play area. This play area is full of children’s favourite Little Tikes toys with everything from ride-ons and rocking horses to slides, activity gyms, kitchens and play houses. You’ll easily find enough to do to make a day out at Beale Park.
For eating at Beale Park why not take a picnic and make the most of the stunning grounds, or there’s the Peacock Restaurant for refreshments, hot and cold food, afternoon tea, ice creams and you can even pre-order your picnics for the day.
Tip – don’t miss a ride on the miniature train which is included with your entrance ticket.
